OUR BEAUTIFUL BUTTERBEAN

When Butterbean was born he was the biggest baby of all the kittens recently born here, topping the scales at an incredible 105 grams. However he soon needed help with feeding. Two of our friends were staying here at Nudedudes and they did an amazing job looking after Bean whilst we were having heart scans done over in the Netherlands. Thank you so much Sheila and Steph I know Bean caused incredible worry to you and I know he is a very special little lad to you both. I started to believe that Bean had a cleft palate and a hair lip, a rare condition in cats and I have never personally seen it before in sphynx. After taking advice from our vet Pete it was thought that if indeed Bean was a cleft palate baby euthanasia may be the only option. I was distraught I had come to adore the little kitten that was so trusting of me. Pete is not only our vet but a personal friend and I trust his judgment completely, so I decided to wait until “Uncle Pete” got a chance to see Bean and examine him and hopefully the outcome would be good. I would be lying if I said I was not incredibly worried though and as the time passed I grew more and more attached to the little kitten known as my Mr Bean, My Beanie Baby. I have delayed putting his pictures on the website for fear that his time with us would be cut short. Butterbean was the only baby born to Sweet Pea despite her being the cuckoo and raising three other babies which are not born to herself, she is an amazing mummy and has been an absolute godsend.

I am delighted that Uncle Peter has now given our Butterbean the all clear. He does have a very short jaw which seems of no detriment to him whatsoever. Because he has been hand reared by myself he follows me all over like a little dog, and of all the kittens here he has the largest personality of all.

Bean is an absolute delight, I adore him so much, and I know he is a very special little kitten to all who have had the pleasure of being around him.

I have had many people enquiring after Bean’s welfare, and wanting to adopt him, thank you all so much who have taken such an interest in such a special little kitten.

Butterbean is now reserved for a very special home!
